Huygens (later referred to as "we" and "us") has written the following privacy policy in order to describe its privacy practices regarding the customer information Huygens collects on the website www.huygens.fr and in the Huygens Parisian stores located 24 rue du Temple and 51 rue Charlot.
The information collected by Huygens is stocked on an OVH server in Canada and can not be accessed by any third party..
Why do we collect this data?

Which information are we collecting?
· The information given to us by customers: Huygens collects the information you give us whilst placing orders on our websites and creating your customer account on our website or in our shops. We collect the following "personal data":
o Information given in context of signing up: while creating a customer account on our website, we ask you to enter an e-mail address which you will later be using as log in credentials. Furthermore, you will be asked to choose a "password". This password is not known nor stocked digitally by Huygens. While setting up your customer account, we will also ask you to for basic personal data: gender, forename, surname
o " The contact details you enter in your customer account or whilst placing an order on the Huygens website: mailing address(es), phone number(s), date of birth.
o Your electronic identification data and other information which Huygens collects through automated means while you visit the Huygens website or interact with us online. Whilst you are visiting our website, we are collecting the data of this "session" with the help of automated processes via cookies on your browser or device. The data we collect from these "sessions" includes: your IP address and the products which were put inside of your basket.
o Your in-store purchases: Our goal is to provide the best, high-quality customer experience in-store. We therefore keep your purchase history in order to know which of our products you have already purchased in our Huygens stores. This enables us to get a better understanding of your needs and preferences and helps us to offer you personalized advice.
o Your online purchases: In the context of your online purchases, we collect information which are essential and enable us to take and process your orders correctly such as: the date of purchase, the amount of the order, the purchased product(s), the payment method, the payment status, bank details, discount codes used, the delivery method and the delivery address.
o Your communication data. We stock all the data created whilst you contact the Huygens team or customer service in-store, per e-mail or on social media. Such as: questions, requests or complaints.
o The comments and appreciations received by e-mail, on Facebook or through our contact form.
o " The answers of the questionnaire regarding your skin and hair type.
For how long do we keep your personal data?
As a rule, we keep your "personal information" as long as we judge it necessary to fulfill our obligations towards you and offer you a service that meets your needs and expectations. Establishing a trusting relationship, as well as providing an impeccable service is our priority. For that reason, we allow ourselves to keep the data of all our active clients, as well as the ones which have placed an order over the past three years.
Your rights
The personal data of our customers are collected, kept strictly confidential and will by no means be handed over or shared with a third party. However, subject to the conditions laid down by the law, you benefit of the following rights regarding the processing of your personal data: the right of access to the data, the right of rectification, the right of withdraw your consent, the right to limit the use of the data, the right of data portability, the right to opposition.
In your customer account, which you can access through our website, we enable you to manage the information we have access to. Amongst other things, we give you the possibility to withdraw your consent to cookies in the tab "Revoke my consent to cookies". You can also export your data in PDF or CVS format, as well as fill out a rectification and erasure request in the tab "My personal data" of your customer account.
If you want to stop receiving our newsletters, you can also click on the link "unsubscribe" in the footer of our newsletter. You will then be erased of our recipient list. Should you however want to subscribe to our newsletter again later on, you can do so very easily by clicking on the link "newsletter" in the footer of our website.
